A founding principal of Cogdell & Mendrala, Don has been the lead designer for every project CMA has performed for the Board of Regents, GSFIC, Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools and numerous private clients. Projects include high-end, single-family dwellings, large, complex educational
facilities, libraries and historical renovations.
After 11 years of experience with other firms, Mr. Mendrala became a founding partner of Cogdell & Mendrala Architects in 1983. His experience included all phases of the architectural practice with specialization in educational, institutional, commercial, ecclesiastical, master planning, and residential design.
Several of Mr. Mendrala’s residential projects have been featured in industry publications and one filmed for a popular national television program. His clients found that Mr. Mendrala was always accessible, had great attention to detail and coordinated each project closely from inception to completion.
Barbara has over 37 years of architectural experience. Her roles at Cogdell & Mendrala have included serving as Project Principal and Project Architect for all types of educational and related projects. She provides a firm understanding coupled with the experience of navigating the procedures and regulations set in place by the Historic District Board of Review. She has extensive knowledge of Georgia State requirements and has worked repeatedly with the Board of Regents and GSFIC.
Marty Harrell has guided the interior design efforts on all projects since joining the firm in 1994. With a strong background in programming and space planning, she is able to assist owners in developing or refining their space requirements and adjacencies.
Interior Design Principal
Rudd a 17-year veteran of Cogdell & Mendrala Architects, is our “boots on the ground” for projects. He is also CMA’s roof specialisT and is as a Registered Roofing Observer.
Casey works closely with firm principals to coordinate the work of the design team and consultants on each project and manages communications with the client.
Eric is responsible for the integration of design concepts with the client’s needs for CMA Projects. He has full understanding of the design process and performs design work in conjunction with the Design Principal.
Teri works closely with firm principals and project managers to assist with design and technical support – providing architectural design services and solutions on CMA design projects.
Maria is responsible for initial phone and office contact with clients and other visitors, word processing and scheduling for field personnel, and performing all administrative duties for Cogdell & Mendrala.
Prior to joining Cogdell & Mendrala, Maria has worked in client relations - assisting with customer services and managing replacement orders for construction equipment at JCB Inc.
