Initially built in the 1950s, May Howard is a longstanding community center for the Wilmington Island area. Cogdell & Mendrala was selected to design a 105,000-square-foot replacement structure to serve the students and faculty better. With a $22 million budget, the two-story facility houses 46 classrooms, Administrative Spaces, a Media Center, and a Cafeteria. A Gymnasium with a stage was also provided to accommodate school and parent functions.
