With this assignment, CMA took into account the concerns inherent in middle school design, with high ceilinged corridors radiating from a central commons area to accommodate the need for unobstructed visual access. While means were taken to deliver an abuse resistant building, achieving a lively, attractive environment was a primary goal for SCCPSS DeRenne Middle School.
